libgphoto2-port12 software package provides gphoto2 digital camera port library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgphoto2-port12
libgphoto2-port12 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgphoto2-port12 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgphoto2-port12 *
You will get with libgphoto2-port12 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
